Red Deer RCMP make drug, weapons arrests during winter mountain bike patrols
On January 14, 2026, Red Deer RCMP's Downtown Patrol Unit arrested two men during winter mountain bike patrols. Robert Apetrea, 39, faces multiple charges, including drug trafficking and weapon possession. Jordan Winnie, 35, was arrested on previous warrants. Apetrea is in custody, awaiting court. Proactive patrols continue for public safety.
