A 40-year-old Kings County-area woman accused of sexual assault against a minor is set for plea in April.
The woman, who appeared in court Thursday last week, is charged with sexual assault and two sexual interference charges against a person under 16 dating from Aug. 1 to 31, 2025, according to court documents.
Brunswick News is withholding the woman’s identity subject to a publication ban that covers information that may identify the alleged victim.
The woman is also charged with obstruction of justice by attempting to dissuade a person from giving evidence between Sept. 1 and Dec. 11, 2025, documents say.
Court records show that the woman has arranged a lawyer and is set to return for pleas on both sets of charges April 9.
