BC RCMP join international partners in crackdown of Russian cybercriminal network
Operation Endgame, a collaborative effort among law enforcement agencies from the Netherlands, Canada, the U.S., and Germany, targeted the SocGholish malware framework linked to the Russian group Evil Corp. The operation disrupted the malware's spread via WordPress sites, affecting numerous entities. Recommendations for WordPress security were also provided.
