During the time span from October 2023 through February 2024, the Terrace RCMP received many reports of mischief in the form of superglue being applied in the locks of local businesses.
In some cases, the mischief escalated to the smashing of windows, and some businesses were victimized more than once. (See news release from March 2024).
In June and August of 2024, charges were approved against Dale Boyd for:
- 4 counts of mischief by willfully damaging property in excess of $5000, and
- 22 counts of mischief by willfully damaging property in excess of $5000.
On March 24, 2026, the matter was concluded in court, and Dale Boyd was convicted or found guilty of 1 count of mischief over $5000. Boyd will remain on conditions of a probation order for a period of 3 years.
