Parkland RCMP respond to home invasion in Spruce Grove; arrests made

Spruce Grove, Alta. –  On Oct. 27 at approximately 2:45 a.m., Parkland RCMP received a complaint of a home invasion in Spruce Grove where suspects kicked in the door and entered a residence.

Police responded and quickly found two males inside, who were taken into custody without incident.

Following the initial response, police conducted patrols where they located and arrested a third male suspected believed to be involved. Police believe this was a targeted incident and not random.

Two firearms were seized, that were involved in the home invasion.

Nicholas Abboud (26), a resident of Edmonton; was charged with the following offences:

  • Break and enter to a residence,
  • Forcible confinement,
  • Trafficking stolen property,
  • And additional Criminal Code charges x 11

Dustin Barrie (34), a resident of Vegreville; was charged with the following offences:

  • Break and enter to a residence,
  • Forcible confinement,
  • Possession of property obtained by crime,
  • And additional Criminal Code charges x 9

Paul St. Louis (40), a resident of Edmonton; was charged with the following offences:

  • Break and enter to a residence,
  • Forcible confinement,
  • Robbery,
  • And additional Criminal Code charges x 9

Abboud, Barrie, & St. Louis were remanded into custody and their next court appearances are at the Alberta Court of Justice St. Albert on Oct. 29, 2025.
