RCMP seize drugs and guns during traffic stop at Maskwacis

On Jan. 11, 2026, Maskwacis RCMP received report of threats with a firearm. Responding officer quickly located the vehicle outside of a residence. Upon approach, police located drug paraphernalia in view. All 5 occupants of the vehicle were arrested. As a result of a search of the vehicle police located;

  • A loaded 12 gauge shot gun:
  • 48.5 grams of Methamphetamine;
  • Other weapons including knives, batons, bear spray.

As a result of this and a previous investigation RCMP have charged, Charlene Bliss Green(41), a resident of Maskwacis, with;

  • Flight from police;
  • Dangerous driving;
  • Possession of Property obtained by crime;
  • Failing to comply with release conditions (x9);
  • Weapons offences(x3);
  • Possession of controlled substance.

RCMP have charged, Billy Clay Green (45), a resident of Maskwacis, with;

  • Failing to comply with release conditions (x2);
  • Weapons offences(x3);
  • Possession of controlled substance.

RCMP have charged, Terrisa Ermineskin (32), a resident of Maskwacis, with

  • Failing to comply with release conditions (x2);
  • Weapons offences(x3);
  • Possession of controlled substance.

All 3 were taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody for future court dates at the Alberta Court of Justice in Wetaskiwin.

RCMP have charged, Michael Gregory Troy Omeasoo (35), a resident of Maskwacis, and Teisha Faith Crier (29), a resident of Maskwacis, with:

  • Weapons offences(x3);
  • Possession of controlled substance.

Both were taken before a Justice of the Peace and released with their next court date set for Feb. 5, 2026, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Wetaskiwin.

“Firearms continue to be a serious concern in our Maskwacis community,” says Inspector Richard Mckay Commander of Maskwacis RCMP, “Last year Maskwacis RCMP seized over 87 crime guns. Our commitment to taking these dangerous weapons along with drugs remains our top priority.”
