Drumheller RCMP charge local business man with sexual offences

On Aug. 13, 2025, Drumheller RCMP entered into a sexual assault investigation.

The victim came to police to disclose a series of sexual assaults that happened over several years while they were a youth.

The suspect was the employer of the youth at a local business.

As a result of the investigation, Drumheller RCMP has charged 59-year-old Bernard Germain, a resident of Drumheller, with the following:

  • Sexual assault
  • Sexual interference

Germain will appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Drumheller on Oct. 17, 2025.

Drumheller RCMP is continuing their investigation and believe there may be more victims. RCMP is asking the public to come forward with any similar type incidents.
