Alberta RCMP Community Response Team seizes quantity of drugs and firearm

Alberta RCMP’s Community Response Team, with the assistance of the Sheriff Investigative Support Unit Surveillance Team, concluded a drug trafficking investigation.

On Oct. 28, 2025, the Alberta Community Response Team executed a search warrant on a residence near 127 Street and 130 Avenue in Edmonton. As a result of the search warrant, police arrested Cory Fraser, a 56-year-old resident of Edmonton.

As a result of the investigation, police located and seized the following:

  • 18.9 grams of cocaine;
  • Six Tablets of oxycodone;
  • .22 Caliber handgun;
  • Ammunition;
  • Scales;
  • 74 cartons of unstamped cigarettes; and
  • $9,570 Canadian currency.

Cory Fraser is charged with:

  • Trafficking a Controlled Substance;
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking;
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance;
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000;
  • Unauthorized Possession of a restricted weapon;
  • Possess a firearm in a careless manner; and.
  • Possess tobacco products for the purpose of selling. 

Cory Fraser was held for a bail hearing and was remanded into custody. He is to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Edmonton on Oct. 28, 2025.
