Leduc RCMP charge four individuals with child pornography, sexual offences against children

Leduc RCMP has charged four individuals as part of an investigation into child pornography and sexual offences against children.

On Aug. 20, 2025, after an ongoing investigation by the Leduc RCMP General Investigations Section into sexual offences against a child, RCMP arrested Leduc County resident 27-year-old male Maxance Valade. Valade has been charged with Production of child pornography, as well as seven additional charges of sexual offences against children.

Valade was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody.

RCMP executed a search warrant at Valade’s property in the City of Leduc, seizing several items, including electronic devices. With assistance from ALERT’s Integrated Child Exploitation Unit, the electronic devices were examined identifying additional victims and suspects. The investigation was expanded to identify the additional victims and suspects.

On Oct. 8, 2025, Leduc RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Edmonton and arrested 34-year-old female Sydney Burns. Burns has been charged with production of child pornography, as well as seven additional charges of sexual offences against children.

Burns was taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody.

On Oct. 16, 2025, Leduc RCMP arrested 24-year-old female resident from Edmonton, Fannie Mae Salvador. Salvador has been charged with transmit child pornography, as well as 3 additional sexual offences against children.

Salvador was taken before a Justice of the Peace and initially remanded into custody. Salvador was later released from custody with her next court date set for Nov. 20, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Leduc.

On Nov. 5, 2025, Leduc RCMP arrested and charged 29-year-old female resident from Edmonton, Jessica Leigh Wood with Sexual Interference.

Wood was taken before a Justice of the Peace and released from custody with her next court date set for Nov. 13, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Leduc.

“We thank the staff of ALERT ICE, as well as the Zebra Centre, who provided valuable assistance during this difficult and disturbing investigation,” says Inspector Kiel Samotej of the Leduc RCMP., This case involves isolated individuals, and there is no information pointing to predatory activity in the area. We will continue to act swiftly on any reports to ensure the safety of children and the community. “
