Leduc RCMP officer injured during intentional car ramming; suspect arrested

On Dec. 8, 2025, at 10:38 a.m., a member of the Leduc RCMP detachment was making patrols on 50 avenue in Leduc when he was struck from behind by a pick up. Both vehicles entered the ditch and the suspect attempted to flee.  Despite being injured in the collision, the officer quickly chased down the suspect and took him into custody. The officer was transported to hospital for treatment and has since been released.
