Leduc RCMP in collaboration with the City of Leduc initiate Project Streetlight

Project Street Light was initiated by Leduc RCMP and the City of Leduc in response to community concerns about social disorder and safety in public spaces. Launched on October 10, 2025, it focused on street safety, wrap-around services for vulnerable individuals, and community engagement, resulting in arrests, tickets issued, and support services provided.

Elk Point RCMP arrests and charges female after victim escapes from stolen vehicle

On Nov. 9, 2025, at approximately 3:30 pm, Elk Point RCMP officers at an unrelated traffic stop when they were flagged down by a victim who had escaped from a stolen vehicle. The victim approached police advising she was assaulted, threatened and taken in the reportedly stolen vehicle. It was believed the driver of the stolen vehicle also had a Canada wide warrant for arrest.
