Indigenous Remembrance Day

Indigenous veterans have historically faced neglect in recognition compared to their non-Indigenous counterparts. The first Indigenous Remembrance Day was established in 1994 to honor their contributions. Blackfoot veterans Kendrick Fox and Tricia Willows shared their military experiences, highlighting their cultural connections and the importance of honoring their heritage during service.
