Canada’s Average Rent Falls to Lowest Level in Two-and-a-Half Years
In December, Canada's average residential rent decreased by 2.3% year-over-year to $2,060, marking 15 months of declines and reaching a 30-month low. Rents have dropped due to factors such as increased apartment completions and economic uncertainty. Despite these drops, asking rents are still 14.1% higher than pre-pandemic levels.
