RCMP investigation results in peace bond issued for youth
In December 2025, the Salmon Arm RCMP investigated a violent extremism threat towards local schools. A youth was arrested during a search warrant on December 30 and later released with a 12-month terrorism peace bond requiring supervision. Charges are pending as the investigation continues, limited by the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
