Drumheller RCMP charge male after neighbour dispute ends in shooting

On Oct. 7, 2025, at  around 10:30 P.M. Drumheller RCMP responded to a complaint where two males were shot and required medical assistance.  Drumheller RCMP attended and confirmed that the two males had entered into a discussion with a neighbour, which turned heated and resulted in a firearm being discharged.  Both victims were escorted to the hospital and are expected to make a full recovery.  RCMP have arrested and charged 36-year-old Brigham McBean a resident of Wheatland County with the following offenses:

  • Discharging a firearm with intent (x2);
  • Aggravated assault (x2);
  • Careless use of a firearm;
  • Pointing a firearm;
  • Unauthorized possession of firearm.

McBean was taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with his next court date set for Oct. 10, 2025 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Drumheller.
