On Oct. 11, 2025, at 4:59 a.m., Cold Lake RCMP responded to a report of a deceased male found on Range Road 420, commonly known as Baywood Road, approximately 80 metres north of Township Road 630, in the MD of Bonnyville. Upon arrival, it was determined a 48-year-old resident of Island Lake First Nation, Saskatchewan, was deceased. RCMP investigators have found evidence on the scene to suggest the man was hit by a vehicle. The driver and vehicle did not remain at the scene.
Cold Lake RCMP is seeking assistance from the public with this investigation. They are looking for anyone who may have video footage/surveillance in the area along Range Road 420 and Township Road 630 from the evening of Oct. 10 to the early morning hours, until around 5:00 a.m., on Oct. 11, 2025. Anyone with information regarding this hit and run is asked to contact Cold Lake RCMP at 780-594-3302.
