Cold Lake RCMP advises local businesses of recent thefts

Cold Lake RCMP have been responding to an increased amount of cash box thefts at local businesses over the past week.

The investigation is ongoing but, in the meantime, Cold Lake RCMP would like to remind the public to report any suspicious activity. Furthermore, they would like to share the following tips with businesses:

• Make sure to lock up your business at the end of the day;
• Make sure your business is well lit at all times;
• If possible, install monitored or self-monitored surveillance cameras and alarms; and
• Store your cash boxes in a locked safe or a secondary safe location.
