UPDATE: Suspect Arrested // Devon RCMP searching for male charged with sexual offences

Parkland RCMP are pleased to advise that Darryl Labrecque has been arrested in Edmonton by members of the Alberta RCMP Central Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit.

“Our Central Alberta Crime Reduction Unit worked tirelessly in finding this individual, and the RCMP here in Parkland and Devon are grateful for their assistance. We would like to take the opportunity to thank members of public for their assistance on this, ” says Parkland’s Staff Sergeant Brent Meyer.

Labrecque will be taken before a Justice of the Peace to determine future court appearances.

Devon, Alta. – On Oct. 10, 2025, Devon RCMP received a report of offences against a minor. As a result of the investigation, Darryl Labrecque (48), a resident of Devon, has been charged with the following:

• Sexual interference with a person under the age of 16 (x2);
• Invitation to sexual touching under the age of 16;
• Breach of release conditions (x2).

RCMP have received a warrant for Labrecque’s arrest and believe that he is actively avoiding apprehension.

Labrecque is described as:

• Approximately 5’6”;
• 123 lbs;
• Brown hair;
• Hazel eyes.
